Suitable for: Skiers comfortable with several kilometers of uphill terrain
Best conditions: Suitable in most weather conditions, but exposed to wind at the highest point

The trail starts just outside Rustad Hotel, with an uphill section leading to the stadium. From the stadium, turn left under the road bridge and follow the trail to the junction signposted toward Lunkefjell.

Turn right and continue along a varied trail for approximately 700 meters until you reach the junction called Tokstadmyra. Here, turn left uphill toward Lunkefjell. You now face a steady and somewhat demanding climb of about 1 km. Remember to keep right at the junction near Lunkestien.

A few hundred meters before reaching the top of Lunkefjell, you will come to the junction called Store Lunken. From here, you can truly enjoy both the scenery and the open mountain landscape as you ski toward Kroksjøen.

At the end of a good downhill section, keep right as the trail continues gently downhill. When you reach the junction at Lunkebekken, turn right again. A short uphill stretch follows, before the trail descends more steeply and gradually brings you back to the Tokstadmyra junction. From there, follow the same trail back to the hotel.
