Suitable for: Skiers who enjoy varied terrain and can handle both uphill and downhill sections.
When: Best on days with little wind.

The tour starts just outside the hotel and follows gentle terrain for 1.6 km along Lake Sjusjøvannet. Turn right at Fjellelva and continue with a gradual climb. At the next junction, keep right toward Ljøsheim, and make the same choice at Ljørkoia. Shortly after the trail crossing at Sjømyra, still heading toward Ljøsheim, you’ll reach a long descent along Leinebekken. Here you can truly enjoy the beautiful scenery during a 2.5 km downhill stretch. From this point on, there are usually fewer people in the trails.

At Leinvangen, remember to turn left toward the Birkebeiner Trail. If you want a longer trip, you can extend the tour by heading toward Natrudstilen at this junction.

The route now continues through traditional summer-farm scenery around Stor Moste. Open fields, small farm buildings, and very few people characterize this part of the tour. At Grasbekken, turn left uphill toward Midtfjellkoia. There is a steady climb toward Bruskrysset, where you stay on the trail toward Sollifjell. The trail then climbs gradually—never too steep—for about 1.7 km before leveling out at Herramsbekken. Continue straight ahead and enjoy this section, which is the highest point of the entire tour.

The descent back toward Lake Sjusjøvannet is at times quite steep, but the trails are well prepared. After about 2 km of downhill skiing, you return to Fjellelva, where you turn left at the trail junction. Enjoy the final 1.6 km in easy terrain.
